Nebraska Emergency Management Agency
The agency works with local, state, tribal, and federal officials to provide assistance to Nebraska communities. It also coordinates with nongovernmental organizations and volunteers to locate resources for individuals affected by an emergency. County emergency management directors and regional coordinators may be able to direct you to resources specific to your area.
More broadly, the agency works with city, county, and tribal governments and some nonprofit organizations to take advantage of funding provided by federal Hazard Mitigation Assistance grant programs. These programs provide funding to pay for measures that reduce the community’s risk of flooding.
