Michigan Indian Legal Services, Inc. provides free civil legal assistance to eligible low-income residents across Michigan, including help for issues related to disaster relief and recovery. This may include help with insurance claims, disaster relief applications, temporary housing, evictions, home repairs, emergency benefits, child custody and child support, and replacing ID cards and other important documents. Counties served include Native Americans living in all counties in Michigan, including those who live on its Indian Reservations of Keewenaw Bay, Lac Vieux Desert, Hannaville, Bay Mills, Sault Ste.
