McReady Oklahoma is a public-private partnership administered by the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management. It promotes activities and provides materials that encourage people and groups to better prepare for natural disasters. These people and groups include Oklahoma families, businesses, schools, and churches.
Every April, displays packed with preparedness materials are located in more than 170 McDonald’s restaurants around the state as part of the statewide severe weather preparedness campaign. You can also find the displays at some city halls, libraries, and county courthouses. Materials on the McReady Oklahoma website include the Family Preparedness Guide, Weather Safety Activity Book, and Taking Shelter guide.
