Legal Services of Southern Missouri

Legal Services of Southern Missouri provides free legal assistance to eligible low-income residents in 43counties in the state. This assistance includes free legal aid for issues related to disaster relief and flood recovery. Examples of these types of issues are insurance claims, disaster relief applications, temporary housing, evictions, home repairs, emergency benefits, child custody and child support, and replacing ID cards and other important documents.

Legal Services of Southern Missouri operates out of five offices. The counties it serves are Barry, Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Cedar, Christian, Crawford, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Dunklin, Gasconade, Greene, Howell, Iron, Laclede, Lawrence, Madison, Maries, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Stoddard, Stone, Taney, Texas, Wayne, Webster, and Wright.
