Legal Aid of Arkansas, Inc.
Legal Aid of Arkansas provides free legal assistance to eligible low-income residents in 31 counties in the state. This assistance includes free legal aid for issues related to disaster relief and flood recovery. Examples of these types of issues are insurance claims, disaster relief applications, temporary housing, evictions, home repairs, emergency benefits, child custody and child support, and replacing ID cards and other important documents.
Legal Aid of Arkansas operates out of seven offices. The 31 counties they serve are Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clay, Cleburne, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Fulton, Greene, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Lawrence, Lee, Madison, Marion, Mississippi, Monroe, Newton, Phillips, Poinsett, Randolph, St. Francis, Searcy, Sharp, Stone, Van Buren, Washington, and Woodruff. Free legal services in the state’s other 44 counties are provided by the Center for Arkansas Legal Services.
