Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management
The Department of Emergency Management leads the state’s efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from flooding and other disasters. After a disaster, it coordinates the efforts of federal, state, local, volunteer, and private organizations to provide relief and aid to residents. The department delivers service to Oklahoma cities, towns, tribes, and counties through hundreds of local emergency management directors. You can contact a director for help and resources specific to your area.
The department also works to support projects that lessen the effects of flooding. This includes helping local governments identify mitigation projects and obtain grants for the work.
