Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia provides free civil legal assistance to eligible low-income residents in southeastern Virginia, including help for issues related to disaster relief and recovery. This may include help with insurance claims, disaster relief applications, temporary housing, evictions, home repairs, emergency benefits, child custody and child support, and replacing ID cards and other important documents. Counties served include Accomack, Gloucester, James City, Mathews, Middlesex, Northampton, and the cities of Norfolk, York, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Portsmouth, and Williamsburg.
